Vallarta Yacht Club Beer Can Races Start November 20th!
Attention all fun-loving sailors! Our exciting Beer Can Races are back, kicking off on November 20th and happening every other week until January 29th. Starting again on February 19th every other week. That includes a New Years Day race!
When? Races start at 3pm. One race a day.
Where? Banderas Bay. Â Starts are in front of the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. Races start at 3pm. One race a day.
What’s in store? Thrilling races, great company, Whale watching and/or dodging, and the best place to sail in Mexico!
Who can participate? Anyone and Everyone. Even if you don’t have a boat. You can come out and crew for someone or just come for a ride.
Whether you're here for the fast-paced action or just to enjoy getting out on the water with friends, this event is perfect for everyone.

DECEMBER 11THÂ Â Sailing event 1 will start and finish off La Cruz, Marina Riviera Nayarit. Free berth for one night in the marina for entries from other marinas (Proof reqjuired). After the race there will be a party on the Beach to welcome the new season and the Baja HAHA. This GAM style event will kick off at 6pm. That's where you get the T-shirts, BBQ, Music, and the shout out about all the cool coming events for 2024 season.
DECEMBER 12THÂ Breakfast gathering will happen hosted by the Marina Poolside Deli. Sail Leg 2 to Punta Mita Yacht Club and Surf Club for the annual reopening at the clubhouse starting at 4:30, followed by dinner, music and the initiation of new members with the carbon fiber paddle at El Corral Beach Resturant. There will be panga service.
DECEMBER 13THÂ Â Gather at El Corral Beach Resturant for brunch and the skippers meetingat 1030 Leg 3 Pirates for Pupils Spinnaker Run for Charity to Nuevo Vallarta. Meet at Vallarta Yacht Club following the Leg 3 for the party and results. There will be slips at Patadise Village Marina for those boats that participate.
PIARATES FOR PUPILS - ALL PARTICIPATING BOATS TO BE READY AT PTA MITA FOR A 1PM START OR AS DIRECTED ON THE DAY. SLOWEST BOATS START FIRST. THE FINISH IS OFF THE NUEVO VALLARTA BREAKWATER. THERE WILL BE A EVENT FINAL PARTY THAT NIGHT AT VYC.
THE BEST DRESSED PIRATES WILL HAVE THEIR 10 MINUTES OF FAME IN LATITUDE 38. THE CHARGE OF 200 PESOS FOR ALL RIDERS GOES 100‰ TOWARDS SUPPLYS FOR SCHOOLS IN PTA MITA AND BUCERIAS.

Lighted Boat Parade
 Enjoy celebration of the holiday season with a parade of our Junior Sailors in boats that have been lighted for the season. In Mexican tradition, the club will be serving Pozole and Tomalies. You can enjoy wonderful traditional food and drink, and watch the parade from the club's patio.
Join your friends for a colorful and festive kick-off of the Christmas season.

The burger VYC is known for!! | VYC Beer Can RacesEnjoy a casual little race with your friends! All boats welcome. No inscription, just bring the beer! Meet at the club bar after racing.

Please join our Commodore for a very informal dinner on Friday. Cocktails from 18:00, dinner at 19:00. Its a slow night at VYC and a perfect time to get together and have a nice dinner with friends evening. | Darts Night Tuesdays at 5:30 PM is Darts Night. Enjoy happy hour with the gang, and throw some darts! All skill levels are welcome. If you don't have your own darts, we'll provide them for you.
| Game Days on Monday and Thursday Every Monday and Thursday we have Game Day in the clubhouse from 1-5pm. Come play Baja Rummy, Mexican Train. Dominoes, Bridge or Peso Me. COVID protocols will be enforced. Mondays and Wednesdays from 2 pm to 5 pm you are invited to the club patio for Choose Your Game Day. Many games are available, or you may bring your own equipment. Play Cribbage, Mahjong, Scrabble, Hearts, Mexican Train Dominoes or form a Bridge Group, learn or teach the game. Polish your Baja Rummy.
