Dear VYC Family,
Join me in welcoming Commodore Eric Bloomquist to his new role as Interim Commodore.
Due to the sudden passing of our beloved Commodore Randy, the VYC Constitution provides that the Vice Commodore-Operations (VCO) steps in as the next ranking officer. In this case, I had the authority to serve as Commodore until the upcoming election.
With the election of new officers just around the corner and Eric Bloomquist standing for Commodore, I recommended to the Board that Eric be appointed as Interim Commodore for the remainder of Randy’s term. The Board unanimously agreed, and Eric has kindly accepted the appointment. I will continue to serve as VCO and, together with Eric, we will work as a team to keep our club strong and carry on the legacy of Randy’s leadership.
