VYC Members,
There will be an on-the-water tribute to Commodore Randy Hough on Thursday, January 30. Our intention is to scatter Randy's ashes in the area where VYC normally starts races, in the bay approximately 0.5NM in front of Gran Velas Resort, at 11:30am.
Those who have boats are welcome to join the floatilla. If you intend to go, please send me an email and state your intention on the VYC Members WhatsApp group. Additionally, we would appreciate if you could take others with you. Please let me know if you will have space on your boat for others.
If you would like to participate and need a ride to the ceremony area, please say so on the group, or contact me by email at rearcommodore@vallartayachtclub.org and I will attempt ot identify a boat that you can join.
From Paradise Village Marina, please plan to depart at 10:30 am. We will use VHF channel 69 to coordinate boats on the water.
This event is not limited to members only. If there are those who would like to join the flotilla and pay tribute to Randy, I would be grateful if you could pass this email to them.
