This is a popular seminar that is not to be missed. Hear Capt. Russell recount her experience of the sinking by a whale of her vessel in 2009, an event so dramatic that a television documentary was made. Also, hear Commodore Green's experience of a nighttime man overboard during a passage off the coast of California. Get tips on what you need to do to prevent such emergencies, and what you need to do to prepare yourself.

To promote, sponsor, manage, and provide facilities for amateur and professional regional, national, and international aquatic events such as yacht regattas and rallies, sport fishing tournaments, sport diving events, and marine training and educational programs and seminars.
To sponsor charitable events and activities which benefit the Banderas Bay region and its residents.
