Radio Communication - Staying Connected in the Middle of Nowhere

Radios can be the most important pieces of equipment on your boat, for reasons of basic communication as well as safety.  "Radio Rob," the person everyone turns to when they have questions or issues with the radios on their boats, will present a special session on how to get the most out of you radio equipment.

Rob will cover the things you need to do right now, before you leave Mexico for the Marquesas. He will also discuss the best ways to get the most out of your radio as you make your crossing. He will then make sure you know what you need to do when you get to your South Pacific destination to be legal, meet fellow cruisers, and stay in touch with folks back home. Rob has a long-standing reputation as the guy you turn to if your radio is giving you problems, so he will share his experience on troubleshooting those problems.

Finally, Rob will have valuable handouts on cruisers' marine and HAM net schedules, as well as a form for a log to keep track of things like weather forecasts and radio traffic.
